My 1.5 year old Versa 4 only works on the charger. It shows 100% charged but will only last about 5 minutes before it is completely dark and nothing works. I’ve tried factory reset, delete and start a new account, the holding down the button thing. Nothing works please help

Hi there, @Somuchtime. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa 4 is not working properly. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!
To better assist you, please confirm that you've tried the following:
Nonetheless, please bear in mind that as all rechargeable batteries age, they deteriorate to some extent and an older device will need to be charged more often than a new one. The best way of minimizing this effect is to avoid deep discharges of the battery. To maximize the overall life of your Fitbit device's battery, ideally keep it between 20-80%. Many people find that a daily battery boost works best ( e.g. giving it a 15 minutes charge while you are showering in the morning).

I have done all the above steps. The battery works for < 5 minutes. It is only 1.5 years old has not been in the water and with normal wear.
mid there anything else I can try or how do I get in touch with Fitbit directly?
thanks

I spoke to customer service and she stated she could see that my battery has been draining very quickly for some time. Nothing they can do but offer a 35% discount to buy another one! As if I am going to spend this kind of money on a watch that lasts a year and a half. Unacceptable and I won’t ever buy a Fitbit again

ME TOO!!!
I have exactly your problem! Fotbit gives me a 35% off for a new product BUT I would like to know why we have this problem and resolve it. I cannot give to rubbish my smartwatches every 1,5 year! We should save the planet not increase rubbish…

Crazy isn’t it. I mean do they really think we are going to buy their products if they don’t even last 2 years! I for one, will be telling everyone be aware they only last about a year
