I buy this Versa 4 for like $200 and it comes with a charging cord that’s as long as my shoe. Like where am I supposed to charge my watch?! Dangling it by this pathetic cord from my wall!?!! This is such a failure that it’s Almost funny. Except it’s not. My versa 2 stops working after 1.5 years since the heart rate monitor crapped out. I loved that thing so much that I decided to give Fitbit another chance here with versa 4.
How the hell can a company like this design such an impractical cord to charge the device? This would be like Tesla putting the charging port for their battery on the roof of the car. Why would anyone create a 16” charging cord like we have usb ports in every lamp or clock as if we live in some Marriott hotel? Does fitbit think we live in hotels?? And the fact that it’s usb doesn’t even allow me to plug into an extension cord. I’m so fed up with Fitbit. The apple watch charge cord is over 36”!!
Once this watch takes a crap in my guess is less than 2 years again, I’m making the switch to Apple Watch like I should’ve done before this Versa 4. I’m done.

Hi @MiltDrucker - Amusing anecdotes and yes the cable is rather short, presumably meant for charging from a notebook. Though you can buy very cheaply USB extension cords which allow you to have the power source a long way away, or even some of the charge cable you can buy online have 36" or may be longer.
If you liked the Versa 2 and are in the window Fitbit have a 45 day refund policy if bought direct from them or from an authorised shop perhaps, and some stores offer a 14 to 30 day one. The Versa 2 has a longer trouble free charging cable and features not found on the Versa 4.
