Versa 4 heart rate monitory is not accurate

Bought my wife a Versa4 to replace a broken Charge4.There is a wierd problem, the heart rate monitor goes sometimes completely wild. 

In rest the Versa4 shows often the double bpm. Have reset the watch several times. After a while it goes wild again.

My wife does not have a heart problem 🤣

Is this a exemplary failure or a common problem?
