Versa 4 is crashing

My Fitbit Versa 4 constantly crashes.   It does not last a few hours and then it becomes non responsive.   Battery is full.   I have reset and factory reset numerous times as well as updated.   Seems numerous users have this issue.  Are we all stuck with a faulty product?   What are the next steps to get a new one shipped out ?

Moderator edit: clarified subject.

Hi @ColleenMEW. A warm welcome to the forums.

Thank you for sharing the details regarding your Versa 4 and for trying to fix it on your own.

Please can you let me know what you see on the screen?

Are you performing some exercise when the device crashes?

Hi @abhishekarora.

A warm welcome to the community forums.

Thank you for providing the information with us about this inconvenience with your Versa 4.

Please follow these steps:

  • Sync in the Fitbit app by tapping your profile picture > Device > Sync Now.
  • If Sync Now doesn’t work, tap your profile picture > Device > Tile to see if the firmware banner appears.

If the firmware update banner does not show, press and hold the side button for 10 seconds until the Fitbit Logo appears on the screen, then release the button.

The Fitbit logo flashing and then big red X then black screen.   I continued resetting till I seen a Fitbit logo with circle (this can sometimes take up to an hour) this does a factory reset and then I do a “forget this versa” on my iPhone, do a “setup new device”, software update and hope it works.   Usually it does not work and I have to continue to do resets and try to get the factory reset.  It took me 4 hours yesterday (I timed it) to get the watch up and running.   I kept the watch near my iPhone all night and charging.   Today so far the watch has not crashed.   I have never had it last almost a full day.   I will charge it again tonight and see if it continues to work.   It is the biggest pain to constantly having to factory reset and lose all your info.  I called customer service yesterday… horrible service, nothing they can do other then a percentage off a new device.   Not sure if I would ever buy a Fitbit again will all the issues with the versa.   It’s constant crashing.
