Purchased a brand new Versa 4 and it’s giving me problems.
I just worked out and had a total calorie burn at 1174 so far today. Now my watch and app are showing 864 calories burnt total. Nothing changes if I sync or restart the watch. Why is it not showing the calories burnt properly

Hi @Haleysports - make sure you don't have the phone also connected as a device on the device screen in the Fitbit App, it should show only a Versa 4.

Hi there, @Haleysports. Thanks for stopping by in the Fitbit Community Forums. It's sad to hear that your Versa 4 dropped your calories after syncing, I understand where your concern is coming from. We'll be glad to help you with this.
As a first approach, I'd like to know if this has happened again since the last time you posted? Something that came into my mind, based on your post, is that maybe your new Versa 4 wasn't properly linked/set up by the time this happened, that would explain why the calories weren't transferred properly. I'd like to know if the issue persist though.
Additionally, please check what @Guy_ has shared with you.
We'll be around if you need further assistance.
Was my post helpful? Give it a thumbs up to show your appreciation! Of course, if this was the answer you were looking for, don't forget to make it the Best Answer! Als...

Hello,
Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, it is continuing to occur. It’s also not tracking my active hours. It’s very frustrating. I’ve tried all the typical troubleshooting, restarted my watch, force quit the app, I spoke with a support staff member through chat who suggested I log out and log back into the app, this worked temporarily but the issue has restarted today. I also did just follow Guy’s advice and removed my phone from the app but it’s had no effect. Please help! I’ve owned multiple fitbits and never had this issue, and tracking calories/energy burned is the primary reason I use this watch.

My versa 4 is doing the exact same thing. It will correct itself when I put the watch on the charger. Curious if you found a permanent solution as it is annoying ti have to out it on the charger whenever this happens.

What’s worked for me is keeping my location on with the Fitbit app at all times. Last week I changed it to only use location when using Fitbit app and the issue started again. Now I’ve turned my location back on and it seems to have improved. I’ve also done multiple factory resets and have restarted the watch countless times which works as a short term solution. It’s super frustrating! Fitbit has no helpful suggestions either. Spoke with multiple support agents who said to factory reset. Why should I have to factory reset a brand new watch 5+ times in the first month?
