Hi,
For many months my fitbit versa 4 tracked my mileage when running (using GPS) pretty accurately. But about six weeks ago it began to go wrong - badly wrong. Whereas before the map view of my runs pretty accurately showed corners/turns, now it pretty much draws straight lines and undercounts distance by some margin - on a run yesterday it said I'd run 4.5 miles whereas mapmyrun calculates the distance at 6.1 miles. Minutes per mile are also way out now. This is not helpful when I am trying to train for an event. I've tried all the tips and tricks and even factory reset the device but still no good. Any ideas? Frankly I'm close to giving up.
Thanks

Welcome to the forum @GDavi.
Thank you for taking the time to share all the details regarding this situation with your Versa 4. Sorry to know the difficulties experienced.
Please, check up on your Fitbit app that 'Mobile track' service is not activated. To do so, please go on the app in today tab, go to the upper left side, tap on the devices icon, scroll down and confirm that your phone is not linked with the app. If yes, please select the 3 little points and deactivate it.
