I have a versa 4 , husband has a three . Every day both my step count & miles are off compared to his . Today we exercised all day together - no deviation . He’s showing 13k+ miles while I’m on 10 & his steps are significantly higher despite us being together all day 🤷‍:female_sign: . Any solutions / insights gratefully received

Welcome to the Fitbit community, @Tinky2!
To improve step counting your device needs to know your stride length. You can enter that manually or use GPS for your walking and running exercises over time. For more details on that please have a look here:

Can I change my stride length in my Fitbit account?

How do I use GPS on my Fitbit device?

Also entering your body height will get better results for step counting:

How do I change my birthdate, sex, height, or weight?

Hi there, @Tinky2. Thanks for stopping by in the Fitbit Community Forums and sharing the details about the inconvenience with your Versa 4.

As a first approach, I would like to clarify that it's normal that you see a difference when you are comparing your data with another person, this is because Fitbit devices record your data based on your personal information (age, gender, weight and height).

If you feel that your step count and distance are inaccurate, confirm the following are correct in the Fitbit app:

Ok , thank you .
I fully grasp why our step count might be out of synch but if we’ve walked
side by side both covering 13 miles why would one Fitbit track 13 & another
10 miles ?
It’s a bit perplexing tbh .
