I have had my watch for 2 years and suddenly the last couple of days it has been losing battery power very quickly as well as adding thousands of steps to my count that I haven't taken. What is happening right now? I don't miss use my Fitbit at all, have always charged it correctly and I take it off before showering, it has never caused me problems like this before though. Help!

Welcome to the community forums @ReneeLuvsSean.
Thank you for giving to my attention the inquiry regarding your Versa 4. Sorry to know the difficulties that you are having with the device.
To avoid battery drain, please follow the steps listed in this help article: Extend your Fitbit device's battery life.
If you are recording more steps than usual, confirm if you are using Mobile track. It is a service that allows you to count steps using your phone even if you forget to wear your Fitbit. If that is your case, Mobile track will add the steps recorded by your phone to the Fitbit app. You can "unpair" Mobile Track from your account. On your Fitbit app go to the upper left corner, on the phone and device icon. Click on your phone icon and on the 3 dots and choose "unpair".

None of the above has worked for me. I have had this Fitbit (Versa 4) since 2023 and it recorded 67,000 steps the other day when I wasn't moving! Now my battery is draining in less than a day! I assure you that I take good care of my Fitbit, so why is it suddenly behaving so strange? I've been a loyal customer since January of 2020 and this is my second Fitbit. The first one freaked out after a couple of years as well. I have a premium subscription and use all the features on it, now I'm suddenly left in the dark without a working smartwatch.
Here's what I have done already:
I reset the Fitbit to factory after it just wouldn't stop logging extra steps and sucking the battery dry. Then I went ahead and charged it to 100%, took it off of the always-on display, turned on all the battery saving features like dimming the screen and everything, nothing is working. It is back to counting my steps correctly, but I subscribe to premium so that I can get more in-depth heart rate information and sleep information as well. Now I get no information at all.
Please be upfront with me and let me know if I should just scrap it and cancel my premium membership that I've had for 5 years for not. This is frustrating for intelligent people who obviously know how to use the Fitbit properly.
