Versa 4 is stopping my exercising

Hello! My new Versa 4 will stop tracking my walk after about forty minutes. I set it up on the exercise function and it starts fine but will randomly stop without warning. This happens regardless of position on my wrist and whether there is a sleeve covering it or not. I have turned off the auto tracking option. Is this another setting I need to change or a problem with the watch itself? Thanks!

Hi there, @KateK82. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa 4 is not tracking your exercises as it should. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!

To better assist you, I'd like to know if this is happening no matter what exercise you choose? Have you tried another exercise besides walking? If you haven't done so yet, I'd recommend trying to restart your Versa 4 by following these steps

I know you mentioned that this happens regardless of the position of your wrist, but keep in mind that you might unintentionally press the button on your watch when you bend your wrist. This may happen during activities like workouts that require you to move your wrist a lot. Wear your watch higher on your wrist so you don’t accidentally hit the button. For tips on how to wear your watch, refer to How do I wear my Fitbit device?

Thank you for your reply, I appreciate it. I have already rebooted my Versa and I have checked the watch several times during my walks (which are daily 60 min walks) and I am pretty certain that my wrist is not pressing against the button, stopping the exercise. I have not yet used it for any other exercise, just walking. Thanks!

I have exactly the same (very upsetting) problem. The timing seems to depend on the exercise. It’s always a multiple of 5mn. Elliptical: 15mn. Running: 5mn.

It is not linked to the way I wear the watch. It is systematic and always after the same amount of time, which is always a multiple of 5mn but varies depending on the exercise.

That’s so annoying. I noticed one day while walking and tracking and wearing a t-shirt that my watch buzzed and the question “do you want to end this exercise” popped up and it was around the 25 min mark. I wonder does this happen and when I don’t select no, it stops the exercise?!
