Versa 4 is taking too long to ship

So i to pre ordered my versa 4. Said it would ship on Sept.23 rd. I received the free band on the 21st .  Well by the 24th still no tracker and it said the tracker was in stock. I called customer service and they reallly didn`t know anything they said it should have shipped on the 23rd. BY the 3rd call they gave me a case number, no help. By the time it shipped they were already at best buy!!! Insult to injury they use ups.  there, was no update or text alerts from them and i had it shipped to one of there stores to be safe. It shows up at my house on oct 7th at 7:07 p.m  no knock on the door nothing. Had i not opened the ups app i would not have known it was left on the porch, REALLY!! So i will not pre order another tracker from fitbit or purchase anything because they use ups. USPS 100% better in everything.

Quite odd @sarvis because I have the opposite problem. My usps just dumps on my welcome mat and walks away but UPS and FedEx consistently rings my door bell. My point is the UPS is responsible for alerting you to your package properly not Fitbit. 

But, with that said…Fitbit was absolutely responsible for messing up your preorder in the first place.

We are all so used to quick and free shipping we forget what things were like BA (before Amazon). We have become a society of people who sit in the drive-thru at McDonald’s and honk our horns because the food is not coming out quickly enough.

For me it isn`t about fast and free shipping ,i paid for 2 day shipping. It`s about communication.
If they are having trouble getting the pre orders out then they should just say that. Instead i think alot of us felt like we got the run around from customer service. I was told it should of shipped on the 23rd because it`s in stock. The 3 times i called all i got was they don`t know. I have owned 9 fitbits , this is the first i have pre ordered, guess not a good experience. I don`t plan on sending it back, took to long to get and as long as it works.

Your totally right. I went to the ups store that it was suppose to go to. They could not believe it was shipped to my house. He told me they must have gotten it on the wrong truck. I told them i set it up to go to them before it even left fitbit. They asked if there was any damage and that the driver should have rang the door bell , knocked on the door no matter what time it arrived.
