Hi there, @Mslizzy. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa 4 is tracking too many steps. I understand how frustrating this can be.

As @Odyssey13 has mentioned, note wrist trackers count steps depending on the movement of your arms. Fitbit has worked hard to make sure that our devices do not pick up false steps or activity recordings while driving. Unless you're driving in a car with a very stiff transmission or on bumpy roads, your device should not give you false readings. Also, if you place it in a surface with something vibrating or if you make hard hand movements.

Regarding your inquiry, please note there's no driving mode on Versa 4 or any other Fitbit devices you can use.
However, there are ways you can prevent this from happening while you drive:

1. You can plug your Fitbit device into the charging cable while you are driving -- the Fitbit will not count steps while it is charging.
2. You can log the driving manually by following the steps in this article

We use height to estimate your walking and running stride lengths, you may want to measure and manually adjust these values if your legs are longer or shorter than average. For more information, please see How does my Fitbit device calculate my daily activity?

In addition, confirm the following is correct in the Fitbit app:

Hi @Mslizzy  Wrist based devices will give more steps if you're knitting, playing the drums or simply waving to a friend across the street. You can remove the unwanted steps. This article can help you - click to read. 92 steps getting out of bed isn't unreasonable, depending on how much you move in your sleep. If you kept your hands in your pocket or were pushing a shopping cart or stroller, the steps would be less. It actually evens up over time, at least it does for me.
