Versa 4 is unresponsive

I have had my versa 4 for about 16 months.  Recently I have had yo charge every 24hrs.  Now the screen disappears and pressing the button does nothing. If a put the v4 on to charge after a few minutes the screen returns and all is good for a while, even though the charge is over 70%. Looking on the community help screen I have tried both resets. When trying to factory reset. On pressing the button the flashing icon appears on immediately releasing  and repressing the flashing icon appears again and then eventually the red cross appears . Can you help.
