Hi I've had my versa 4 since Christmas day . Yesterday I went to charge it and it lost connection and will not reconnect. My husband has tried everything to reconnect it he's contacted fit bit numerous times today and it still not working. The app does the update and it gets to 83% then the watch crashes and freezes . No matter what he does it doesn't work .

Hey,
My partner and I had a similar issue, but we also had a problem with switching it on first.
What might help is reseting the watch. Press the button on the side for ten seconds and try updating the firmware again. If it still happens, press the side button again and as soon as the logo appears let go and press the button again. This will restore the watch to factory settings.
One issue we had after factory restoring was the watch and app froze when we paired them. So we reset the watch (first method) closed the app on the phone and tried again.
I have to admit I'm not an expert, and I'm also assuming (maybe wrongly) that you haven't tried this already. However I build my own PCs, and if a software issue was causing serious/major issues, you reinstall windows and then try the update again 🙂

Just to add this will wipe any data or settings which you may have added to the watch already. However I'm guessing you haven't been able to even use it yet.

We have had the exact same issue. Worked great on 12/23/23 and stopped working on 1/1/24.Three days and countless hours on the Fitbit help team have done nothing. I really don’t know where to turn or what to do. I guess I could return it to Best Buy but then what?

I have been waiting for days to hear back regarding more or less the same issue 😞

It's bad communication skills from fitbit. Surely If the device is faulty within 1yr old we're entitled to a replacement and not a bloody repair. But saying that I've still to hear from them 🤬
