Versa 4 keeps crashing and fails to boot up

I charged my Versa 4 two days ago before went to bed, then went to bed.  Yesterday morning, when I woke up, the device with black screen and cannot boot up.  I connected to the charger, after a while, it boot up with a red X, then went into a loop of crashing, showing the logo for a while, then black screen, then log again. I see many others post the similar issue this week.  Is there a bug introduced in the recent firmware release?  The device can charge and will vibrate when charger is connected.  However, it fails to boot up properly.  Definitely a firmware issue.

Definitely a firmware update issue as many of us are having the same problem!! I called and they disregarded what I said about the issue starting after the update (my battery and device worked fine prior). The rep said it was normal due to usage and offered me a coupon off of a new watch which I of course will not be buying after this terrible customer service

I have the same issue - new versa4 given as a birthday present. Set up worked perfectly until I downloaded latest info and crashing, won’t stay connected for more than a few secs, red X - embarrasses me and the person who gave it to me!  What next?  Should I log a support call too?

Definitely call in case you can take advantage of warranty if there is still one active. If there isn’t a warranty, at least you can report that you’re having a problem. In my experience they were not helpful and it doesn’t seem like they will be taking responsibility for the failed firmware update and putting out a fix… I hope you have better luck!!

Thanks - I’ve got all the packaging - will take it back to the shop and request a refund. Apple Watch next I think 😜
