Versa 4 no GPS

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have tried to turn on the GPS on my new Versa 4 following the directions given online but my watch has not tracked any of my exercises. It does not show the arrow symbol at all. I have turned on GPS on the watch in the "walk" exercise before starting to exercise and I have all the location settings on my phone turned on. I have done a factory reset on the watch as well. What else can I do?

Also, in the "run" mode the timer doesn't start at all. It does say GPS looking but the app on the watch just freezes and no steps are counted etc. The app on my phone doesn't even show that I attempted to start a run.

@Ems_s To enable GPS on your Versa 4, first swipe sideways from your clock face until you see your Training tile. Now tap on All to get a list of available training and exercises. As an example, tip on Walking. To enable GPS, just scroll down to the GPS option to enable it. That's it! Any suitable training now will use GPS every time you start it.

@Talahthas what is Training tile? In English there is Exercise tile (and app). If you say Training most people won't know what you're talking about. I see no such tile. The OP already enabled GPS for Walk activity which actually posted on the pictures.

Hi Talahthas,

Unfortunately, I have done all the steps you have suggested (as per the photos) and it didn't fix my problem. In the end I have had to contact Fitbit directly and my issue is not a typical problem that people commonly encounter. They are looking into the issue for me.

Thanks for trying to help.

@Ems_s  you're not alone. I have the same issue... Cannot find the GPS setting on the device.

Also having issues work Google Maps (no such thing or notice to install) and Google Pay (it worked yesterday, now the cards are gone from the watch and won't synch).

Google Maps and Google Pay for Versa 4 and Sense 2 are under development yet.
