Since the recent firmware update, my fitbit battery dies after 1 day (compared to 7 before).
It also occasionally just won't turn on, or get a flashing blue fitbit logo then red x.
I've contacted support, reverting the change is not possible and there's nothing that can be done about it.
The 1 year warranty has passed, and they offered a 35% discount on a new fitbit. However, I cannot justify purchasing a new fitbit product without knowing that they are acknowledging and fixing the current issues. I can see from this forum and reddit that it's a very common problem.

I would ask if they offer a discount for a new Oura, Garmin, Apple watch (anything not bought out by Google). I deliberately put off doing the firmware update after reading about the issues others have reported. I'm currently ignoring the shakedown to move everything to a Google account. I primarily did everything through the web dashboard until they took that away. I've been using Fitbit since the early days, the one on my wrist is absolutely the LAST Fitbit/Google wearable for me. When this one dies, I'm out and taking all of my data with me.
