I have been traveling and at some point my watch completely died, and when i tried to charge it, it would overheat, take a lot longer than usual to charge, then die in a couple hours. I tried factory resetting it but didn’t unpair it and i have no idea how to fix any of these issues

Welcome to the Fitbit community, @Errors!

Sad to hear that your Versa 4 isn't working es expected.

If your device is overheating while trying to charge it, there might be an issue with the charging adapter or the battery of your device. So please have a closer look here for possibly troubleshooting that:

Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?

If none of these tips will get things fixed, please try doing a factory reset on your Versa 4 by first keeping it's button pressed for around 10 seconds until you'll see the Fitbit logo flashing on it's display. Then release the button and immediately keep pressing it again until there's a circle around the Fitbit logo. Now release the button and wait until your device has restarted.
Finally, please follow the instructions provided here to set up your device:

How do I get started with Fitbit Versa 4?

I'll keep my fingers crossed.

What about my Versa 4 dying in a few hours when it used to last me around 6 days

And holding the button down is doing nothing but showing a red X. Like i said in the initial post. I’ve left it charging for a night, I’ve tried factory resetting it from the settings.
