Versa 4 not tracking sleep and sp02

My versa 4 recently stopped tracking sleep several days in a row, not just a sleep score no data available.  I reset it and it tracked that night, but did not track my sp02. The next night it tracked sp02 and not sleep, so I reset and again it tracked my sleep and not sp02. I haven’t changed how I’m wearing it, and it’s charged. I’ve tried to chat with support, it says chat isn’t available every time.

Thank you for sharing the inquiry regarding your Versa 4 and for trying to fix this inconvenience on your own.

Keep in mind that you must see sleep stages in order to see a sleep score. There are a few scenarios where you might see your sleep pattern (which shows your time asleep, restless, and awake) instead of sleep stages:

  • If you slept in a position that prevented your device from getting a consistent heart-rate reading or wore it too loosely. For best results, wear your device higher on your wrist (about 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone). The band should feel secure but not too tight.
  • If you used the Begin Sleep Now option in the Fitbit app (instead of simply wearing your device to bed). For more information on automatic sleep tracking, see How do I track my sleep with my Fitbit device?
  • If you slept for less than 3 hours.
  • If your device’s battery is critically low.

If you see sleep stages but don’t see a sleep score, please note that it may take a few minutes for your sleep score to appear. In addition, for better results please try to let the device detect that you're awake or asleep by itself rather than doing it manually and make sure to keep the Fitbit app and the devices' firmware updated to the latest version available.

The Versa 4 may need some days to collect some information (particularly regarding to heart rate) and provide sleep score, sleep stages and other data. Make sure that you've also tried the restart procedure described here and check if you continue to experience the same problem. In case the problem is related to the Fitbit app, please try the following as well:

  • Log out from the app.
  • Clear Cache and Cookies for the Fitbit app in your phone's settings.
  • Restart your phone.
  • Log back in to check if you're able to see your data properly.

In order to get SpO2 data, you must get at least 3 hours of quality sleep. Data is only collected when you’re still. If you move a lot during your sleep or the sleep session is too short, you might not get SpO2 data.

Charge your Fitbit device to make sure it’s able to collect data throughout your entire sleep session.

The issue is that it’s not tracking my sleep at all, I understand I can’t get a score without stages being tracked but it says No Data, it tracked my sleep 3 of 5 days this week, and then didn’t track for the next including last night. The week before I have data for Monday and nothing again until Saturday when I has reset it. I’ve tried resetting my watch which has not always worked.

I have also changed my sleep setting to sensitive and thought this would help but it again stopped taking data on my sleep

I have the same problem and I'm a heart patient. What's going on is Google bought Fitbit and none of our watches will work anymore, only Google Pixel watches will work, therefore our versa watches will become useless when the final takeover happens in the next few months. I'm currently looking at watches that use free apps but they must have sleep monitor, oxygen levels, pick up naps, body temperature, etc. I'm extremely disappointed in Fitbit for not telling us, I found out by reading about it on the news. Garmin has a few watches that will do all that the versa 4 do and they use a free app with no subscription. If you don't feel betrayed the Google Pixel watches will also do the same but as a long time loyal customer I feel betrayed especially bc they have a no refund policy. I'm telling the world and hope they lose customers bc they did us wrong. They could have handled this situation a lot better. Could have told us and given us the option for a refund, instead they let us find out bc our watches are not working properly. Have you noticed all the watches have been on sale and dropped in price? You can't even use the versa on any other apps that im aware of yet they keep on saling them and soon they will be completely useless unless Google changes their mind and allows our watches to work. So far as I know only gogke pixel watch will work in this app properly after the full takeover. Shame on them for ding us this way. Customer service tells me to restart my watch knowing it's not gonna work bc they've been bought out. Nothing is wrong with our watches , the problem is the transition to a full Google takeover. If I'm wrong please someone correct me but that's what I e been reading in the news. My watch worked fine right up until Google bought them and now it's crazy. I'm recovering from heart surgery and it has me climbing 250+ steps the other day and to make it more crazy while I was asleep! 4 different times during my sleep cycle apparently sleep walked up the stairs that don't exist in my home! Yesterday it recorded me sleeping from 3pm til 10:30 this morning and I was awake and moving around. I slept from 3am til 7 am. I'm not sleeping much bc of my pain levels. I'm so disappointed in them, especially since I contacted customer service and they had me restart my watch and do other things knowing theentire time it was not my watch but bc of the transition from Google buying them out..I feel so betrayed!

Madam/sir,

How is it that for more than a year, these explanations were not required?

Everything the same except the functioning of my device.

I too am a victim.

This answer is such bull crap. I had a Versa 2 for multiple years and it worked just fine. IF THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH A TAKE OVER OR YOUR WATCH YOU SHOULD REGUND EVERYONE WHO JUST BOUGHT THEM!!!!!

Best Answer

Same, I never had any issues with my Versa 2 which I had for 4 years, until the screen stopped working and I replaced it in may of this year so I haven’t even had my watch for 4 months yet.

Same issue! Over the past week/10 days, sleep tracking is intermittent. I've done all the rebooting, resetting stuff. So Fitbit support, please - wake up! There is a problem at your end.
