Hi, my Fitbit Versa 4 is stuck in a boot loop after the recent update. The Fitbit logo flashes on and off repeatedly.
It will power on while charging, but as soon as I connect via Bluetooth to set it up, it resets again.
I have already tried a hard reset, removing the device from the app, clearing Bluetooth, restarting my phone, and attempting setup again. The issue persists.

Hi @908908909880989. Welcome to the community forums.
Thank you for taking the time to share the details regarding this difficulty with your Versa 4.
1. Sync the device in the Fitbit app.
2. Check for available Firmware updates.
Follow the on-screen instructions: Keep the Fitbit device close to your phone during the update. When the update starts, a progress bar appears on the device and in the Fitbit app until the update is complete.
3. Charge the device:
If these steps don't work:
4. Restart the device: Keep in mind that your data won't be deleted: How do I restart my Fitbit device?
5. Changing the clock face via the Fitbit app can sometimes resolve a black screen issue:

Hi Manu,
Thank you for the response. Unfortunately, the device is stuck in a boot loop and shows a red X screen. It resets repeatedly and will not stay on long enough to sync or check for updates. It also resets immediately when attempting Bluetooth setup.
Because of this, I’m unable to perform sync or firmware update steps. The issue began after the latest update.
Thank you

Exactly same problem for me today, did you find a solution?

Hi @908908909880989 and @skogtrace ! Thank you for sharing and for your collaboration.
We have tried all possible steps through this channel to try to resolve this issue. My best suggestion is that you contact technical support directly, as they have more tools to provide you with the appropriate follow-up.

Me too! Same problem: My Versa 4 is in a reboot loop: flashes the logo, then red "X", then goes dark. I've tried all the recommended steps (charging, resetting, etc) and nothing works. Is it a brick now? Or does someone have a recovery path?

Mine started dying within a few hours of charging first (it used to stay charged for 4 days) then it crashed and refuses to reset. Did this happen for you too? This is the 3rd fitbit that has suddenly died within a few years. $500 each. Waste of money. Not ever buying another fitbit.

Mine wasn't dying quickly, battery-wise; it just suddenly stopped turning on. Perhaps it was after a software update? Not sure..
Regardless, it's a brick now, as none of the recommended recovery methods are working. Looks like my Fitbit days are over.

You described it perfectly (I had exactly the same problem). Maybe I have been lucky but I let the battery empty itself completely than recharge it and did as suggested in other post (unconnected the bluetooth, reconnected it, re-did the upgrade) and it seems working ... for now.
