Versa 4 red x issue

Hello hope someone can help, just got a versa 4 second hand to get home and now its coming up with the fit bit logo then the red cross is there anyway to unpair or reset the device without the previous owners device as they live a little distance from myself! Please tell me theres a solution

@Dant96 , A warm welcome to the Community! Thank you for your message.

Please do as follows if the Versa 4 is paired with an account. 

Sync their device in the Fitbit app by tapping your profile picture > Versa 4 > Sync Now. A firmware update banner should appear.
If Sync Now doesn’t show an update banner,  please tap  again your profile picture > Versa 4 > Gallery. The app should show a pop-up to install the missing apps and recover the device.
