Versa 4 says "not enough data" for my heart rate

When I record a walk on the app it gives me my map but it says "not enough data" for my heart rate.

If I record it on the versa 4 I don't get the map but I get the HR data.

I've tried doing it through the app and letting auto detect kick in but I end up with almost identical exercise duplicate in my exercise activity.

@Jk80ka   The moderator's phone advice won't help you.  When you start your walk on the app, you are using a feature called MobileRun.  This is an older method of GPS tracking.  Note that the only options are walk, run, and hike.  You need to start you walk on the Versa 4 to get the heart rate data in the Exercise details.  I'm disappointed with the Walk Detect option.  It usually takes over seven minutes to "detect" my walk and once it took 16 minutes.  If I want a walk with GPS, I start it on my watch, right from the start.

Hi there, @Jk80ka. Thanks for stopping by in the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your data on the Fitbit app and also trying to troubleshoot it before reaching out.

In addition to the steps you've done, please try the following:

- Log out from the Fitbit app
- Clear the app cache
- Restart your phone
- Log back in
- Sync your Versa 4

Thank you,

I've done that, next time I exercise should I record it on the app or on the watch to get all the data?

@Jk80ka just adding to what @LZeeW already said when you track using the app you won't get HR (it used to work in the past but Fitbit "improved" the feature and got rid of HR). You need to track your walk on the watch. To get the map you need to enable GPS. As far as I know, Sense 2 and Versa 4 have it disabled by default for the Walk activity. You need to open the Exercise app, select Walk and swipe up for options. Then find GPS and enable it. Make sure you will see the GPS connected before you start tracking your walk (you will see a message on the watch). In case the GPS is enabled but it hasn't connected you won't get the map either. Enabling GPS is a one-time thing and once you've done it, it will stay enabled for future Walk activities (it's not enabled all the time, only when you track activity).
