My clockface won’t stay on and keeps switching to a screen with military time and no other data. I can tap it back to my preferred clockface, but a few seconds later it automatically goes back to the 24 hour display with no data.

It sounds like you might have switched to an always-on display. That automatically switches to a simplified display after a few seconds to help preserve battery since display has to stay on all the time. Don't remember exactly where, but within Settings, probably under Display subtopic.

@JohnnyRow , Thank you for your tips and help.
@MaestraLMcH , Nice to see you around . Thank you for your messages.
I'm also incline to the suggestion from our friend JohnnyRow . You might have a clock face with the display always on feature.
To turn always-on display on or off, swipe down from the clock face to open quick settings. Tap the always-on display icon . Note that turning on this feature impacts your watch's battery life. When always-on display is turned on, Versa 4 requires more frequent charging.
On the Fitbit Gallery, you can always verify the clock face you are using and the feature it offers.
