The Versa 4 had an update a couple days ago. Now my app locks up. I cannot track my running. I cannot manually log workouts.
i bought this Versa 4 about one month ago. I only have 2 expectations from it. I want to view my heart rate while jogging. I also want to log exercises while working out or log them afterwards. I’ve turned off my auto run detect feature but the versa 4 still auto detects my runs which stops me from viewing my heart rate. I hate that. Fail #1 of my main goal for buying this item. Fail #2 happened during this latest update. Now I cannot track my exercise.
VERY disappointed with this purchase.

Welcome to the Fitbit community, @Bishop53!
Sad to hear that you're having issues with your Versa 4.
As a first attempt to get things fixed, I'd suggest restarting your device by keeping it's button pressed for around 10 seconds until you'll see the Fitbit logo on it's display.
If that won't work for you, please try to do a factory reset on your Versa 4 and set it up from scratch to see if it will be working as expected afterwards.
To factory reset your Versa 4, first keep it's button pressed for around 10 seconds until you'll see the Fitbit logo flashing on it's display. Then release the button and immediately keep pressing it again until there's a circle around the Fitbit logo. Now release the button and wait until your device has restarted.
Finally, please follow the instructions provided here to set up your device:

Hi there, @Bishop53. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa 4 is not tracking your exercises as it used to. I understand how you must be feeling, I will do my best to help you with this!
Before considering a factory reset, please restart your Versa 4 as suggested by @Talahthas.
On a side note, I'd like to check some things with you to make sure all settings are correct. First, turn on the always-on screen option to prevent the screen from turning off during a workout. This feature decreases your device’s battery life.
On your device, open the Exercise app > swipe to choose an exercise.
Swipe up to open the exercise settings.
In the Always-on display section, tap the switch to turn on the setting.
Swipe down to return to the exercise screen, then tap the play icon to start the workout.
On the other hand, make sure you've turned off the automatic tracking correctly by following the steps below:

Im having the same issue!! Been loyal to Fitbit since 2017 with my charge 2. It was faithful to me until it died a few weeks ago. I just bought the versa 4 last week and it keeps shutting off on me randomly…it won’t track my workouts. Literally everything I bought it for it doesn’t do. 😣☹️
