Hi there, @DaveLL. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa 4 has stopped working. I understand your concern as you have been taking good care of your device, I will do my best to help you with this!

To better assist you, may I know the issue that you're experiencing with your Versa 4? Have you tried any troubleshooting steps to rectify the issue(s)? If you are experiencing any of the following issues and you've checked your settings, restart your device:

  • Won't sync
  • Won't respond to taps, swipes, or button press
  • Won't track steps or other data
  • Won't show notifications or reminders

For more information, see How do I restart my Fitbit device?

Regarding your inquiry, please note that our products are indeed designed and made to last (this goes for each product component) however, there is not an infallible way to ensure that no issues will be present in the long run. Because of this, our Warranty Policy  is set into providing as much coverage as we can. For more information about our warranty, see

Thanks for the quick contact. At first the sleep and heart functions quit working. I initially thought my grandchild had changed the settings. I tried fixing it by adding those functions. They showed up to add but would not add. I charged the device and shut it down. I then turned it back on but it stayed the same. I wore it again for a day but when I looked back at the watch at some point it was off. Nothing I could do would make it come back on. It is still off after two days. (I saw some state there are three buttons but mine only has one button on the side.) Just went and grabbed the device. Still dead.

Update: Yeah, I saw the one year warranty. This is my second device. I paid way too much for a device that after a second purchase only lasts less than two years. (Been a client since 2019 per my app.) I will go another direction now but thanks for the quick response...

@DaveLL You're welcome! We‘re taking into consideration your comments and sentiments with regards to our products and services.

As our last resort, I'd recommend performing a factory reset on your Versa 4. Important: Take into consideration that a factory reset deletes any stored data, which includes all data that hasn't synced to your Fitbit account and your applications, alarms, etc.

With the above being said, please press and hold the button for about 8 seconds until the screen turns off and vibrates. When you feel the vibration, release the button, then immediately press and hold the button again. Wait for the Fitbit logo to appear, then as soon as the logo disappears, release the button, then press and hold the button again. When you feel the vibration, release the button, then wait for the watch to complete the factory reset.

Thanks but the device does nothing when I hold the button for a minute or two much less ten seconds. The device is dead. I have tried multiple ways to get the device on. The last reading was 77% battery... No power, no reset. Appreciate the quick response though. Maybe if there is a secret to getting power  back I may be able to do a reset.
