My Versa 4 stops randomly in the middle of bikes and runs. Super annoying. I have turned off auto-stop and it helped with bikes, not runs. But auto-stop is good, because I commonly forget to turn off. Today run totally randomly got split into two runs. Does this happen to many other people? If I got a Charge 6 would the same thing happen?

Try the new Firmware, it solved some of my problems with the GPS and tracking issues.

Hi there, @tomubc. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa 4 keeps stopping your exercises. I understand how annoying this can be, we're here to help you!
As a first approach, I'd recommend restarting your Versa 4 as instructed here How do I restart my Fitbit device?
Have you tried updating your Versa 4 as suggested by @Ttraylor?
Regarding your inquiry about Charge 6, my best advice is to take a look at our comparison page at https://www.fitbit.com/compare, where you can see at a glance the features that each Fitbit device provides.
Was my post helpful? Give it a thumbs up to show your appreciation! Of course, if this was the answer you were looking for, don't forget to make it the Best Answer! Als...

This is exactly what is happening to my versa 4, I've tried a reset and update and still the same, I'm starting to lose faith in Fitbit and looking for other options.
