Versa 4 stuck on Fitbit logo and a red X

My fitbit Versa 4 was flashing the Fitbit dots logo. Then it gave me a big red X. Now it won't restart. Please help!

Sad to hear that you're having an issue with your Versa 4. I'd suggest trying to restart your device by holding it's button for around 10 seconds until you'll hopefully see the Fitbit logo on it's display.

If that won't work for you, please try if switching to a different clock face will get things fixed. Here's how to do that:

I'd like to point out that it's important to keep your Versa 4 and your phone within Bluetooth reach until the process is completed. If your device is working as expected afterwards, you can switch back to the clock face you had selected before.

Thanks but I've tried the 10 second button hold many times. It does nothing but bring me back to the flashing logo. And I cannot bring up the clock face. That is the big problem! I finally contacted support and after about an hour of trying numerous things, he finally told me to request a replacement Versa 4, which I have now done.
