Versa 4 stuck on Fitbit logo and a red X

My Versa 4 is only just over a year old, it was working fine up until today when all of a sudden it started to flash with the Fitbit logo then switched itself off, it then came back on with a big Red Cross on the screen and now the side button is totally unresponsive. I’ve followed some steps I’ve seen on the forum such as turning Bluetooth off, unpairing and repairing with the app etc, but I can restart the watch cos the button doesn’t work. Another issue is I now have to press the screen really hard for the face to illuminate, where previously it would light up by moving my arm.
I’ve noticed this has been a problem for lot of people, and was just wondering if anyone had found a fix or if the button is just broken for good?

Hi there, @LD78. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa 4 is still stuck on the Fitbit logo and the red X. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!

Since none of the steps you've tried prior to posting here have worked, I'd recommend performing a factory reset. In order to do so: Press and hold the button for about 8 seconds until the screen turns off and vibrates. When you feel the vibration, release the button, then immediately press and hold the button again. Wait for the Fitbit logo to appear, then as soon as the logo disappears, release the button, then press and hold the button again. When you feel the vibration, release the button, then wait for the watch to complete the factory reset.

Something is happening to me now, just started a few hours ago. I've done factory reset and it keeps resetting on its own, nothing seems to help. Are you still having this issue or did you find a fix?

The side button wouldn’t work at all, so I couldn’t do I reset. It spent all day yesterday just flashing the logo then showing the big :cross_mark:, it did this on a loop until the watch switched itself off, now it won’t turn back on.

It spent all day yesterday just looping between the logo and the :cross_mark:, it then switched itself off and now won’t switch back on again.
