Versa 4 stuck on a red X and Fitbit Logo

I've had my Versa for 2 years. Never had an issue with it until about a month or two ago. Now, the battery only last 2 days if that. It was at 58% last night, woke up this morning and it was dead. I don't have extras running in the background. Now, it won't turn on, or sync. It flashes the Fitbit sign and then the red X appears. Is my Versa 4 a goner?

Hi there @amb86_09! A warm welcome to the Fitbit Community!

Thank you so much for letting us know that your Versa 4 is only showing a red X and for all your efforts.

I suggest you try to do the following:

  • Sync your Versa 4 with the Fitbit app.
    • From the Today tab, tap the devices icon and then your device and then Sync Now.
    • If Sync Now doesn’t show an update banner, tap the devices icon and then Versa 4 and then Gallery. The app should show a pop up to recover the device.
  • Try to restart your Versa 4 again.

It doesn't even sync to my app. I have tried several times. I tried your steps to do a factory reset and that doesn't work either. At this point, I'm about ready to throw it out.

I've had it for 2 years. It's not worth trying to fix it now.

The same thing is happening to me just started running out of battery very quickly.  Couldn’t open screen and now the Red Cross.  Only about 18 months , is it set in to make us buy new ones.  Not very long lasting I have tried all the resets that they suggested worked for a day , now not working.  Second Fitbit the first only lasted a couple of years.  Not impressed.

I called customer service and after half an hour of talking I was just told
it can't be fixed and my warranty had just run out a couple months earlier.
So they couldn't replace it but they gave me a discount code for 35% off a
new one.
