Hi there, @Pollyrobb. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. It's sad to hear that you're still having issues with your Versa 4 despite all the steps you've done so far. I'll be glad to continue assisting you. @Rich_Laue @Guy_ I appreciate your time in trying to help!

As you mentioned in your post, it looks like your Versa 4 is asking you to pair it again or properly. With that being said, I'd suggest doing the following:

  • Check if by any chance your phone's Bluetooth shows the Versa 4 as a connected device. If so, please unpair/remove it.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Setup your Versa 4 again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 4.

If you can't get started with your Versa 4, usually a missing requirement is the cause. Carefully review the requirements provided in the help article Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

Hi @Pollyrobb - if your watch gets factory reset it gets to the same state as new in which case in the Fitbit App run the "Set up a Device" to attach it to the account and get the firmware installed. If it was already installed once you may not be able to install it again due a bug in the new V4 Fitbit App.

See setup help

Fitbit have a 45 day refund policy or possibly authorised dealers too, some stores provide 14 to 30 day refunds.

My Versa 4 also mysteriously did this.

Your only option is to setup the Versa 4.
