Versa 4 stuck on message "To start, download the Fitbit app"

ANSWERED

I was getting messages in my watch that I needed to pay. They came repeatedly.  I tried multiple things to get rid of them. I finally cleared my watch on the app. Now I can't get anything on my watch. It's telling me to log into the app - done. Or install a new device. Can anyone help?

Hi there, @Gmavs. It's nice to see you around the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa 4 is not connecting to your phone or app anymore. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!

If you haven't done so yet, I'd suggest doing the following:

  • Check if by any chance your phone's Bluetooth shows the Versa 4 as a connected device. If so, please unpair/remove it.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Setup your Versa 4 again.
  • Update your Versa 4
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 4.

If you can't get started with your Versa 4, usually a missing requirement is the cause. Carefully review the requirements provided in the help article Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?
