I have tried all of the troubleshooting suggestions and my Versa4 will not reboot. Turns on, logo flashes then red X appears.
Update: Called support to help with the issue. The solution was a 35% off coupon because the warranty expired. Was told, nothing we can do as you’ve completed all the steps to factory reset. What a joke!!!

This further proves nobody should buy any Fitbit devices. It's always dead after 1 year warranty expires. I had two Charge 5 ended like this, and yesterday my Versa 4 started to run into black screen issue too.

Same issue… so frustrating! Never buying another Fitbit… so many of us are having this issue since the update, why won’t Fitbit make it right since it is very clearly due to their update?

After firmware update, same same. Google / Fitbit needs to push out and updated firmware update.

People are coming in here and venting because, guess what? the phone calls are a waste of time If your tech support is working off of a script and checklist, it is of no help. Fix the firmware, and push out the fix. Please, and thank you.

Reminiscent of iPhone sending out a firmware update making people believe their batteries were going bad so they would purchase new iPhones. Remember that?

So I have the same issue as MelWol having tried ALL OPTIONS TO RESTORE and failed to get any response from Versa device. If I wish to replace what support will Fitbit/ Google offer?

same response i got. this fitbit lasted just over a year. 1st one i got last like 5 years. 35% off is a joke, agreed! Last Fitbit i'll ever own!
