Like many others on here, my Versa 4 has stopped working properly since the last update. Sync-ing not always working, battery draining rapidly compared to before. But the latest is that it won't turn on, unless attached to the charger cable.
I was away from home for the last few days, and I charged it fully before I left. Within an hour, it was unresponsive. Nothing happens at all when touching the screen, and when I press the button, it vibrates briefly, then the screen flashes with a blue logo on a black background, then a black logo on a blue background - 15 times total then it comes up with a large red cross. So I can't get it to turn on in order to do a restart.
I'm now home, put it on the charger and it's come to life instantly, and says it has 43% battery - so it clearly had charge, it's just not working.
How can I fix this please?

Hi there, @Abbe89. It's nice to see you around the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa 4 is stuck on the Fitbit logo and red X. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!
Even when the screen seems to be dead, would you mind trying to sync? To do so, please try to manually sync your Versa 4 by tapping your profile picture > your device image > Sync Now. By doing this, a firmware update banner should appear.
If Sync Now doesn’t show an update banner, please tap your profile picture > your device image > Gallery. The app should show a popup to install the missing apps to install the missing apps and recover the device. If the firmware update banner does not show, press and hold the side button for 10 seconds until the Fitbit logo appears on the screen, then release the button. For more information please visit How do I restart my Fitbit device?
If none of the above works, please try a manual factory reset: Press and hold the button for about 8 seconds until the screen turns off and vibrates. When you feel the vibration, release the button, then immediately press and hold the button again. Wait for the Fitbit logo to appear, then as soon as the logo disappears, release the button, then press and hold the button again. When you feel the vibration, release the button, then wait for the watch to complete the factory reset.

Hi. I've been able to sync it after putting it on the charger, and the face is now working. However I didn't get a firmware update banner, and the battery has gone from 100% at about 2pm to 41% now (8pm) which is ridiculous

@Abbe89 Thanks for getting back to me and for following the steps I have shared with you.
If you cannot update your Versa 4, please see Why can't I update my Fitbit device?
Updating your Versa 4 should help with the battery draining quickly. However, if the issue persists, please see Extend your Fitbit device's battery life

Hi Marre
I don't think it's a battery issue. It wouldn't come to life again last night/this morning and the moment I put it on the charger it worked and said there was 86% battery.
When I go into the system on the watch, it says it's version 61.20001.214.24 but it doesn't give me the option to update anywhere - on the watch itself or on the app. How can I find the update when I don't get a notification of it?
