Versa 4 won't connect properly with my iPhone 14

I've been unhappy with my Versa 4. I had a Versa 1 for 6 years and loved it! It happened to crap out three months before the V4 came out.

I pre-ordered my Versa 4 so I wonder if the first ones that went out had issues? Either that or they just focused on quality for the Google product.

These are the the problems my Versa 4 has:

  • Only notifies me of about 30% of my calls
  • Only notifies me of about 60% of my texts or apps
  • Constantly have to sync through the app to get any notifications
  • SPo2 is sketchy - app won't install and SPo2 faces only work so often after sleep

I keep my iPhone 14 and Fitbit up-to-date and I've reinstalled the Fitbit app multiple times. I previously had an iPhone 11 with same issues, so it's not the phone. I keep the Fitbit app open at all times which I didn't have to do with my V1. In general, the reliability of my V4 is much lower than my V1. ☹️

Hi there, @csbeltram. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 4 before reaching out. I understand how you must be feeling.

In addition to the steps you've done, please try the following in the order listed:

  • Unpair your Versa 4 from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Versa 4.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 4.
  • Set up notifications again.
  • Once your Versa 4 is paired and syncing, please proceed to set up your other Bluetooth devices to your phone again.

With the steps above, what I want you to do is to pair your Versa 4 first to your phone's Bluetooth settings before any other Bluetooth device is connected to your phone.
