Will my fitbit versa 4 watch keep time without out my phone nearby? I thought it used to but lately if I forget my phone the watch doesn't keep time.

Hi @Lb1956 - there can sometimes be an issue with the clock face which may restart the watch and if this happens unnoticed and the phone isn't nearby to sync it can lose time.
Normally there is no need for a phone to keep the time right if you have a good watch, it should keep good time all by itself if it is working correctly.
Changing to another clock face would possibly help to verify that the watch doesn't lose time from this issue.
Also try holding the watch button for 10 seconds till it blanks or vibrates and wait for the logo to appear and for it to start before syncing to set the time right.

Hi there, @Lb1956. It's nice to see you around the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Versa 4. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!
May I ask if you sync your Versa 4 frequently? Please note that the time will be wrong if your Versa 4 hasn't synced recently as your Fitbit device uses the time of the device you're syncing with. Is this the first time you experience this issue?
If by any chance you run into syncing issues, please see Why won't my Fitbit device sync?
If the issue is still not solved, but you can confirm that your Fitbit device is syncing, I recommend changing your time zone to a completely different one, sync your device, put the correct time and sync again.
Was my post helpful? Give it a thumbs up to show your appreciation! Of course, if this was the answer you were looking for, don't forget to make it the Best Answer! Als...

I don't sync often, but I synced today and left my phone just to test. Still didn't keep time. I changed the clock face like Guy_ mentioned. If that doesn't work I will try changing time zone. I never had a problem until I changed the clock face,so that could be it. Thank you and Guy_ for the advice.
