Versa 4 won't receive calls or any message notifications

Hi just purchased a versa 4 in the last week but i cant seem to get it to notify me of any calls or text or Whats app messages. As far as i know i have done everything required to connect it properly to my phone.

Please verify if you are running the last Fitbit app version:

Hi, thank you for the speedy response . As far as i know i have done the
latest update the watch is only days old . And has bever accepted calls or
messages since I got it. The app says it is running firmware version
61.20001.194.86 . My phone is a Huawei but the guy in the shop saud all
phones are compatible with Fitbit.When i set the watch up i think i
followed all the correct procedures

Thank you for the additional information provided. 
We are currently under the 4.49 Fitbit app version, as explained here: Android Fitbit app 4.49 is now available - 08/12/2025

As I can see, actually your firmware needs to be updated, since we are running the 214.24 and the 220.21 is rolling out in stages. 

In order to know if your Fitbit app needs to be updated, you can: 

  1. Open the Play Store app.
  2. Tap the menu icon.
  3. Tap My apps & games. If the Fitbit app has an update, it will be shown in the Updates list.
  4. Tap Update.

If your apps update automatically, check the Recently updated or Up to date list to check if the Fitbit app was updated.

About the compatible devices, please check the following help article: Fitbit setup requirements

It explains that certain devices may experience compatibility issues even if they meet the requirements:

Hi, thank you for the extra advice . I can't see anywhere on my fit bit app
that says update required . Also My Huawei is a p40 pro which isn't on your
list so i presume it must be ok. Is there not a number I can call to speak
with someone who may be able to talk me through my issues? To help resolve
them.
