Versa 4 won't show my sleep score on the watch itself

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My device does track my sleep and provides the score on the app. However, it does not show the score on the Fitbit itself. I have to either shut down the device or my cell phone for the score to show on the watch. I have also tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling. It still doesn't do anything.

I'm hesitant to contact customer support because they seem to be just pairing what's available online without any of them having any knowledge of the Fitbit devices or the app. Does anyone know if there's a permanent fix other than switching on and switching off the device to get the score?

@Shiversa Welcome to the Fitbit community!

Sad to hear that your Versa 4 isn't working as expected. I'd suggest to restart it to see whether or not this will fix the issue you mentioned. To do so, press the side button and keep it pressed for 10 seconds until the display goes dark. Then release the button until your Versa 4 has restarted.

Hi there, @Shiversa. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 4 before reaching out. We‘re taking your comments and sentiments in regards to our services into consideration.

As a first approach, please follow @Talahthas's recommendation.

Also, please keep in mind that your sleep data might take a couple of minutes to show up on your Versa 4. I'd recommend sync your Versa 4 twice in a row just right after waking up.

Hope this helps.

Whenever I restart the device it does show the sleep score. It's unfortunate that you have to restart the device everyday for the score to show. I think there should be some other solution for this.

@MarreFitbit   The troubleshooting advice doesn't work.  As for your "couple" of minutes suggestion, I've been awake for over two hours and the sleep data isn't on my device screen.

Yes mine is doing the same. Rebooting the phone seems to kick the log in.

Yes I am having to do the same. I am also noticing the graph for sleeping isn't always showing the sleep wave forms correctly. Most of the time on my app the waves are like square boxes instead of sinewaves. Many times the sleep score will not show up on app. Only when the sleep score shows up is when the sinewaves look correct. Sadly because this is the reason I went to this watch, for the sleep tracking. I have moved the watch 2 fingers up at night and tighten the band just last night. It read with good sinewave chart and the sleep score is showing. Will do the same for awhile and let you know what happens. The sleep app is showing a short period of monitoring which I know it takes a hour to detect sleep but it sometimes just shows a few hours or shorter. I even shut the auto exercise to insure this isn't interfereing with the sleep monitoring.

I am with Shiversa. It does work but why do I need to constantly restart to update sleep stats or local temperature all the time?  I have already reset and reinstalled and also verified my settings are correct. Also synching by itself doesn’t resolve unless I restart the fitbit.

Also having this issue where I have to restart it to see the rest score on my Fitbit. Really frustrating and kind of defeats the purpose of the watch.

I want to give updated feedback of my personal experience with Sleep Score on the device screen.  It shows up on its own in about 2-3 hours if you do nothing at all and nothing has changed in the four months since my post.  @MarreFitbit  The feature is not working as intended.  Please file a bug report.

I am absolutely with you on 'file a bug report'. My watch is only a month old and never shows sleep data. My previous watch was a Versa 2 and always showed sleep data

Why doesn't this function as expected?  Yes, rebooting phone gets you the sleep data, but that can't be the way Fitbit intended to display sleep data on the watch.  What gives?

Hi @MarreFitbit, I'm having the same issue with my versa 4, it's not even 1 week old and it only showed the sleep score after the first night.

It only shows the score after reseting it, but I don't see myself doing it every day.

How can I report it as a bug?

Because I think I'll have to say goodbye to the watch if this is not looked into, it is a big bug to me.

If you are on Android, force stopping the Fitbit app then re opening the app and doing a manual sync will fix the issue and sync the sleep score to your watch and watch face. This will also fix issues with weather tile not updating.

Hope they fix this soon.
