Versa 4 won't show my swim distance

I have set the pool length to 50 meters. Started the swim (lock on). Ended the swim after completing 4000m an phone and app showed the correct time (1 hr 20 min) but 0m distance. What is going on. This is the third time. Is my versa 4 broken?

Thank you for sharing the inquiry with your Versa 4.

Please note that when you start the swim activity directly on your device, it will not track your distance. For more information, check this article out.

However, there is a way to track your distance on the pool: Please let your smartwatch track your swim automatically. In that way the distance will be shown on the training summary when you sync. The only thing is that you'll not be able to see your training progress during the session.
