I updated from Sense 2 only to find that the swim app does not show real time swim laps. I would not have bought it if I had known.

Hi there, @Nicky2 . Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I understand where your concern is coming from.
As you mentioned, Versa 4 won't show real-time laps as when you start the swim activity directly on your device, it will not track your distance. For more information, see How do I track swims with my Fitbit device?
However, there is a way to track your distance on the pool: Please let your Fitbit device track your swim automatically. In that way the distance will be shown on the training summary when you sync. The only thing is that you'll not be able to see your training progress during the session.
We rely on feedback like yours to help us develop products and features that we know our community wants to see.
Was my post helpful? Give it a thumbs up to show your appreciation! Of course, if this was the answer you were looking for, don't forget to make it the Best Answer! Als...

The auto track is not great either. Mine is usually about 400 to 600 meters short because you have to swim for a while before it picks up laps. It also stops tracking if you rest too long or your sets are short.
