Versa 4 won't show the correct time and date

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

whenever I take my Fitbit watch off for a day or two, the date and time won’t update. This happens when it dies and I charge it, I’ll sync and it will reflect the day the battery died. I can’t seem to get it to reflect the correct date no matter what I do. It did this once before but corrected itself after a couple days. The problem is, in the meantime while it’s recording steps and calories burned, etc., the data is posting to the wrong day and time. Anyone have a similar situation? Any known solutions? Ive turned it off and on, reset the fit bit, deleted and redownloaded the app, updated the app.

Hi @Kstaub11 - when the watch powers off the clock can stop.

When the watch remains powered on but not synced because it's not near the telephone for a while and loses time (minutes) it is faulty

However if it is constantly syncing properly with the Fitbit app it should get the correct time.

First try in the Fitbit App click profile photo and App settings.

Turn off/on automatic time zone and sync.

If this doesn't fix the time change to another time zone and sync and then change back and sync.

You can hold the button for 10 seconds till it vibrates and the logo appears and wait for it to restart and sync a few times.

If this still doesn't work then try Logout of the Fitbit App and swipe off the active window and in Android clear the storage cache and force stop it and then restart the phone.

Make sure there are no other devices running the Fitbit App switched on.

Restart the watch again.

Login and wait for any pair, link or Fixit prompts and sync.

Hi there, @Kstaub11. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 4 before reaching out. @Guy_ Thanks for your help and advice!

According to your post, it seems like your Versa 4 is not syncing. With that being said, please try the following steps:

  • Unpair your Versa 4 from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Versa 4.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 4.
  • Once your Versa 4 is paired and syncing, please proceed to set up your other Bluetooth devices to your phone again.

With the steps above, what I want you to do is to pair your Versa 4 first to your phone's Bluetooth settings before any other Bluetooth device is connected to your phone.

Once you manage to sync your Versa 4, the time should be corrected. Keep in mind that your Fitbit device uses the time of the device you're syncing with.
