Versa 4 won't stay connected to my phone's Bluetooth

Ive seen MANY common discussions which I've followed all steps to every one I came across however none have solved my issue and I'm quite unhappy. My watch is only 2yrs old and I'm at a loss.

About a week ago now I was laying in bed and my watch started vibrating and showing the Fitbit emblem flashing like every 2 minutes. It went on for a while then stopped and the next day it wouldn't turn on. I charged it and still wouldn't do anything. I read up on it and did a hard restart which at least got me to the fitbit screen then a red X quickly followed. This went on for about a day. After a few more hard restarts I got it to turn on and sorta normal. When going through the set up process, it will not stay connected to my phone in order for me to get it updated. I've tried having my phone forget it through the Bluetooth settings, I've deleted the watch through my Fitbit app, I've done all I've seen to do but it just won't stay connected.

Hi there, @Jessicamcbeth56. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa 4 is still not connecting to your phone's Bluetooth. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!

To better assist you, please confirm whether you've followed the steps below in the order listed:

  • Unpair your Fitbit device from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Fitbit device.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Fitbit device.
  • Once your Fitbit device is paired and syncing, please proceed to set up your other Bluetooth devices to your phone again.

With the steps above, what I want you to do is to pair your Versa 4 first to your phone's Bluetooth settings before any other Bluetooth device is connected to your phone.
