Versa 4 won't sync to my new phone

I have a somewhat new phone, OnePlus 12.  I initially paired it just fine, but recently it won't sync data so tried troubleshooting the issue.  I've done everything, pretty much reinstalled the app to restart phone and versa 4.  Nothing seems work.  It just won't pair at all.

Hi @xeoneex - if you changed phone make sure there is no old phone still working.

Did you try removing the watch Bluetooth entries from the phone and restart both watch and phone and in the Fitbit App, tap the device/battery icon and Add more devices and replace?

Hi there, @xeoneex. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa 4 is not syncing to your new phone. I understand your concern, we will do my best to help you with this!

I was wondering the same thing as @Guy_. I'd suggest making sure that your Versa 4 is no longer connected to your old mobile device as this might be preventing your Fitbit device to properly sync and connect to your new phone.

With that being said, please follow the steps below in the order listed:

  • Unpair your Versa 4 from your old phone's Bluetooth and also from the new phone.
  • Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your new phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Versa 4 again.

With the steps above, what I want you to do is to pair your Versa 4 first to your phone's Bluetooth settings before any other Bluetooth device is connected to your phone.

If the issue persists, please follow the troubleshooting steps provided in the help article that @Guy_ has shared with you.

It won't connect to the fitbit app.  Thats the problem right now.  I removed it from the fitbit app since it was't syncing now it won't pair at all with the phone.

Got as far as pairing and it just sits there nothing else is happening.  Connecting your Versa 4 to the Fitbit app...  watch screen goes from pairing to black screen and nothing happens.
