My versa 4 is no longer calculating calories correctly. It does it once in the morning when I sync my Fitbit to my phone, but then, doesn't do it again later in the day. For example, today, I took 22,000 steps, 92 floors, and the calorie count shows 1654. The number should be closer to 2200 - 2500 based on older data. This new behavior started yesterday, May 2, 2024. I've synched, restarted, rebooted, and reinstalled everything to no avail. I've talked with Support and I get the standard list of generic unhelpful responses.
Has this happened to anyone else and if so, how did you fix it?

Hi @SunsetRunner - just in case have you checked the device/account page in the Fitbit App to make sure only your watch is connected to your account and made sure the watch is syncing well?
This may help
Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

Hi there, @SunsetRunner. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa 4 is not tracking your calories accurately. I understand where your concern is coming from, we're here to help!
Have you tried what @Guy_ recommended? In addition to that, I was wondering if by any chance you've checked if your personal data has been entered correctly? Please note that your BMR is based on the physical data you entered in to your Fitbit account (height, weight, sex, and age) and accounts for at least half the calories you burn in a day.
To update your profile, see How do I change the units of measurement in my Fitbit account?
Nevertheless, I've seen you contacted our Support Team just right after posting here and they've already assisted you. If you have any questions regarding the outcome of your case, please don't hesitate to reach out to our team again. Since you already have a ticket open with them it'd be easier to continue the follow up on this matter with them directly.
Was my post helpful? Give it a thumbs up to show your appreciation! Of course, if this was the answer you were looking for, don't forget to make it the Best Answer! Als...

I've checked everything. I only have the one watch.

I've checked everything. There seems to be a problem with the software. It seems to be a timing issue. I just completed a 17,000 step walk this morning and the calories for today read 481 calories. The correct calorie count seems to update itself in the evening. I'm not sure why the calorie count waits to get updated, it used to be synchronous. Now it waits until evening to give me the accurate total. This the third day in a row where this is happening.

Mine is doing the same. My versa 3 broke so I got the versa 4. It started doing exactly this so I exchanged it for another one. This one is doing the same thing.
