I'm new to fitbit, bought a Versa 4.
Is it a known thing that the floor counter is nonsense or is mine not working properly?
I live in a bungalow (single floor house) and this morning I woke, showered, dressed, walk to the kitchen, prepared breakfast and sat at the table to eat it and looked at my Versa 4, for the sleep report.
According to it I've traversed (no idea whether it counts up and down or just up) 7 floors ... In a bungalow, in 30 minutes?!
Surely it should correlate with my heart rate, as that would surely increased it ?
I assume it's an altimeter of some sort, so measuring pressure. My bungalow is not pressurised.
Perhaps the shower, I did wear it in the shower , as it was hot, reduced the pressure sufficiently to report a height increase of 3.5, assuming it measure up as well as done ...?
Can anyone shed any light on this, is it expected behaviour or is my Versa 4 faulty ? I restarted it just in case that might resolve it, it has the latest firmware?
Thanks all for the help and insight.
Dave

Hi there, @Gladiator62. Thanks for stopping by in the Fitbit Community Forums and trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 4 before reaching out.
Please note that your Fitbit device may give you credit for extra floors for a variety of reasons. Devices may track floors while doing everyday tasks such as opening doors, driving, or riding elevators or escalators, or from abrupt weather and atmospheric pressure changes. Exposure to excess moisture can also result in extra floors. For more information, see Why does my Fitbit device count extra floors? You can also find more information about tracking activity in this help article How does my Fitbit device calculate my daily activity?
On a side note, please take into consideration your Fitbit device's environmental conditions. You can find this information at the Fitbit Versa 4 User Manual page 64.
