I have had my Versa 4 with the premium package for a week. I upgraded, or thought so, from a Versa 3 however I am regretting it somewhat. No matter how many flights of stairs I climb, the Versa 4 maybe registers 1 or 2 at the most. I deliberately ran up and down a flight of stairs containing 16 risers (steps) 6 times and my Versa 4 only recognized 1 floor climbed.... grrrrrrr

Hi there, @Sole2sole. Thanks for stopping by in the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Versa 4. I understand how you must be feeling.
I'd recommend restarting your Versa 4 by following these steps How do I restart my Fitbit device? Then, please test your device and see if it records your floors based on the information I've provided above.
On a side note, please take into consideration your Fitbit device's environmental conditions. You can find this information at the Fitbit Versa 4 User Manual page 64.
Was my post helpful? Give it a thumbs up to show your appreciation! Of course, if this was the answer you were looking for, don't forget to make it the Best Answer! Als...

Hi @Sole2sole - there are ways to stop the floor counting.
If you walk up the stairs and continue walking it has a better chance of registering the action, as will not holding the bannisters.
The watch needs to detect the steps which isn't an instantaneous process because it also needs to filter out random hand movements as not steps.
If you run up and down stairs it won't have enough time to know if you are up or down.
If you have the watch settings on dominant wrist try changing to non dominant, this makes it register a few steps at a time easier.
In short it takes time for it to confirm the pressure change AND to record the steps associated with the activity of going upstairs.
Floors are just values and are not affecting any other values, however if you are unhappy with the watch Fitbit have a 45 day refund policy or possibly authorised dealers too, some stores provide 14 to 30 day refunds.
