I starting using Fitbit 7-8 years ago charge 2 and upgraded to ionic. I walk 4.4 miles 6-7days a week same route same pace. Everything I knew about may HR and zone minutes change after the versa 3 with the pure pulse technology. Everything was different so everything I new about my HR was wrong are the new technology is wrong.I went back to a charge 3 after returning the versa 3. Does versa 4 use the pure pulse as versa 3? Looking for some tips from you guys who excise and use HR to help with your fitness routine. Where you wear the device’s should not make that big of difference which is always the response from Fitbit.

@Lilly.b The Versa 4 certainly looks like it has the same OHRM as the Versa 3. I like two sources for independent device evaluation. The Quantified Scientist and DC Rainmaker Both evaluate just about every brand of fitness tracker/smartwatch/etc. Neither one has a review of the Sense 2 or Versa 4 yet. Keep your eyes open.
Where you wear the device can make a difference and here comes a little physics lesson. The light from the OHRM is reflected light. You have tendons from finger and wrist muscles and that movement can cause interference with the reflected light. A little farther from that wrist bone can make a difference.

Thanks for the heads on The Quantified Scientists and DC Rainmaker. They just confirmed my problem with the Versa 3 HR accuracy and I was hoping the Versa 4 would show some improvement but now believe Fitbit Is using the same technology for HR monitoring on the lasted devices.I love the Fitbit platform but if the HR is off the hole platform is off. After watching the guys do evacuation it looks like Apple Watch are pretty accurate but the one day battery life is a deal breaker for me.I been looking at the Garmin Venu 2 sq it has everything I need except stair counting.I hate leaving Fitbit but I just not sure. I wish Goggle would keep making smartwatches and Fitbit go back to making finesse trackers. I know that’s a lot of hot air on my part but thank for the heads up. I had never heard of those two guys.
