Versa 4 won't track my sleep score

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I wear my Versa4 every nightto get a score but nothing for the past month or so.  I wear my Versa4 in the correct spot but zip.  I get how long I've slept but nothing for the stages and that is one of the reasons why I got the watch.  My versa3 worked and I recently upgraded in Dec.

Hi @Nultman - have you tried setting sleep to sensitive in the dashboard and click submit and sync the watch?

Also did you setup a sleep schedule in watch Settings, Quiet modes, to ensure the watch is sleeping while you are and you are not being disturbed by it which can affect your sleep patterns?

@Guy_ , Thank you for your help and tips.

@Nultman , A warm welcome to the Community ! Thank you for your message.

The following conditions can prevent the recording of sleep stages:

- You record your sleep using the app instead of the Versa 4's automatic sleep detection.
- The tracker's battery is almost empty when you go to bed (below 25%). This prevents a regular recording of the heart rate.
- You use the metal bracelet while sleeping
- You sleep less than 3 hours.
- The bracelet is too loose or too tight on the wrist. You should be able to put your index finger between the bracelet and your arm without much resistance, so that your heart rate is recorded regularly and the sleep phases can be recognized.

If you tap the recording that doesn't show you any sleep stages, you should get a message explaining why you didn't get any. What is this message?

Hello..I am having a big issue with my Versa 4 not tracking my sleep. Everything that you mentioned checks out with mine. I never had an issue with my Versa 3 that I had for 3 years before upgrading. I need some help with this. I am wondering if mine is defective. It just doesn’t seem to preform as well as my Versa 3 did.

thank you for your help

Same here with my Versa3. I've tried quite a few different ways to get a
reading and NOTHING. This is very frustrating and wondering if I should
just go back to my Versa 3.

I have the same exact issue. Feel like I should go back to my 3 too. Last time I got sleep stages was 2-1-23

Today 2-8-23 I got sleep stages! Hope everyone else did, thanks to whomever is behind this as well!

This may be due to the server problem Fitbit is having for the last few days. Still not corrected for all. My Versa 2 hasn't recorded sleep for the last two days and therefore can't calculate the health metrics. Saying that, my Versa 2 still recorded my 1 hr 55 min nap yesterday around dinner time.

Same problem I’m having. Upgraded thinking it would be better but after 3 weeks not one sleep score. Very frustrating.

Hi @KymSa - check how your heart rate is behaving in the Fitbit App, you should see it fall during sleep and you should see sleep phases.

If you have tattoos it can be an issue to get a reasonable HR reading enough to detect sleep properly.

Yes it falls at night but I still do not get a sleep score, just how many restless minutes etc.

I had the same problem several months ago. I had to reset my Versa4
several times before it started working again. So far so good for the last
5-6 weeks ; Could have been an update from FitBit?

Hi @Nultman - to avoid any confusion please confirm if you restarted the watch several times or factory reset it several times.
