Walked 6k steps and my fitbot shows 0

I walked 6000 steps today but my fitbit watch shows 0 steps and my app shows some 1,300 calories burnt. This doesn't make sense.

I've also had the exact same step count showing up on the app four days in a row?

Can anyone help me resolve this please? I have updated the app and I have tried turning the watch off and on..

Thank you

Does the watch show any values at all?

Were you wearing the Versa 4 on your wrist?

How do you know you walked 6000 steps?

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Hi JohnnyRow,

Thanks! The watch showed a calorie count - and it also shows I slept 1h 17m (I did not wear it to bed and I certainly slept longer than that). Yes I was wearing it when I walked home and I got the count from the health app on my Iphone.

Cheers,

@SI218 The same step count for the same days in a row is a bug in the app. I have experienced it too, but if you go into the steps history, you should see the accurate steps. The Fitbit web dashboard also shows my correct steps.

As far as your 6,000 steps not showing, that is very weird. It almost sounds like your Fitbit turned off for some reason. Did you start the walk as an exercise on your Fitbit first?

Hi Heather, thank you. It became even more weird today when I saw that the time on the watch had somehow changed time zones. I don’t understand it.
and no, I did not start a walk on my watch. I just realised I had walked a bit and wanted to check the count when I realised it didn’t show.
I turned the watch off and back on today. Everything except the strange sleep count is back to normal now and the missing step count is also updated 🤷🏽‍:female_sign:

@SI218 Glad to hear it is (mostly) working. If you still have issues, maybe try a factory reset, but it sounds like your watch was glitching for some odd reason. Happy stepping!
