What happened to the exercise detail in the App?

The hits keep coming with this new Versa 4.  I took my normal route around my neighbor this morning that I have been taking for years.  My Versa 2 would show this to be a 4.2 mile walk.  My Versa 4 only reported 3.4 miles. That's about a 20% difference.  There was only a difference of 115 steps. The elapsed time was 4 minutes slower this morning.  I was a little off my stride this morning, but not to the point that I took 4 minutes longer to walk almost a mile less than usual.

The most disturbing thing is the level of detail that has disappeared and map Versa 2 Exercise DetailVersa 2 Exercise DetailVersa 2 Exercise DetailVersa 2 Exercise Detailwith the Versa 4.   Here are some screenshots from my Versa 2 from my walk a few weeks ago and a screen shot from the Versa 4 this morning.  Did I set-up my Versa 4 wrong or has this functionality been discontinued?

Rich,  I think the GPS being turned is the issue.  I was trying to figure out how to setup a 5 minute interval tracking for my walk exercise and discovered when I swipe up once I choose an exercise there is a set a goal section.  The problem I am having is the exercise starts before I can setup my goals.  After much effort and deleting a dozen walking exercises that were started and ended, I was able to enable the GPS and setup a 5 minute interval.  I am not sure why it is so difficult to get to this set goal screen and why the exercise wants to start while I am on this screen.

Thank you for response.  I will see if the detail is what I am used to after my next walk.

I think that I discovered how to review my exercise goal setup before the exercise starts.  It looks like all my settings are where I want them, but every time I look at the GPS it is back to off.  I turn it on, but when I go out and come back it's off again.  I understand that having the GPS impacts battery life, but if I set turn it on, it should stay on until I decide to turn it off. I do not want to have to go through the setup every time I start my walk.

Thanks,
