Which are the coming soon features on Versa 4?

Hi,

I already have a Versa 2 but I'm looking to upgrade. 

More specifically I'd like to have the On-wrist Bluetooth calls feature and the Google Pay futur that aren't available on the Versa 2.

I compared the Versa 4 and Versa Sense 2 to the Google Pixel Watch and I feel like I'd be ok with the Versa 4 (they're basically almost the same but the battery lasts way longer with the Versa 4, which I prefer) but when I look at the features that I just menitonned I'd like to have, for the Versa 4 it says "coming soon", does this mean a new version is coming soon or will it be available true a software upgrade?

Bascially, I want to know if I can buy now or if I should wait?

Also, if I don't manage to sell the watch I have now, does Fitbit recycle old watches?

Hi @AmbreB. - be careful in choosing a replacement - there is no Google Assistant or music support at all on a Versa 4, there are no third party apps, and limited clock faces available, vibration is weak, charging can often have problems, so don't assume that it is an upgrade.

The Versa 2 is a reliable and functional watch.with good heart rate measurement that probably hasn't caused you any problems. Also if you have a favourite clock face check it is available on any watch you choose first.

Check in the forums what others have posted before deciding to change.

In any case "coming soon" is an expectation and often first iterations have problems, so definitely wait in that respect.

There is no recycling of old watches at Fitbit per se but you could always send it to them, or put it in the local recycling bin for electrical products.

Hi there.  Right now, Google things haven't been sent out to us users yet.  I need to write my opinion of the Versa 4.  Google, step up and catch up.  Why is Apple so far ahead with what their smart watches can do ?  I'm a dedicated Google woman.  Everything I use is Google.  In this instance.  My smart watch is causing me to doubt Google's dedication to me.  Apple smart watches can do more than my Versa 4.  Why can they be able to download apps to the watches?  My Google watch can't.  That's just one example of Apple versus Google.  If Apple can, they need to hire some Apple people so that Google can.  Besides, my older sister is an Apple fan and she makes fun of me.  I know I'm not the only one feeling this way.  I'm not sure what we, as Google smart watch owners, can do to convince Google we want products that have the same capabilities as Apple's products.  Personally, I'm seriously contemplating switching all of my products, TV, watch and the myriad of others.  We want Google to know we want products comparable to Apple.  All right, I'll get off the mic.
