I am wondering why after I finish a walk I get 2 to 4 laps in the app? How can tI do laps if it is one solid walk?

You can set "laps" to be certain things, I think certain number of minutes, maybe steps, etc.

How do I check this?

If using on-wrist Exercise App, after choosing Walk but before starting, note little arrow at bottom screen. Swipe up from that to see other options. I think laps is one of them, and in that you can set what laps consist of and how many of what.
I think after you select "Laps" it asks you which type of unit you want to use (minute, step ....) and how many it takes to make a lap, or something like that. I don't know that you can check what you have for the settings now. Maybe in workout log.

@Dben69 I apologize if I'm misreading what you wrote. It sounds like you are seeing this on your walk details on your app, but didn't turn on the feature on your Versa 4, like @JohnnyRow describes.
Are you asking about the "laps" that are listed in the Pace section of your details?
My screenshot includes part of my elevation change, so I definitely wasn't on a track. I might be wrong, but I think the older version of the app gave split times, not pace. Fitbit includes this information, because there are many kinds of walkers, from leisurely to serious power walking. If I were running, I would definitely want this information.
